The Role

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Accounts Receivable team through their billing and collections efforts. This support may include assisting in data collection and entry, contacting customers to ensure data accuracy, creating spreadsheets, mailing invoices, and other duties, as needed. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a growing team and learn all aspects of the AR space. This role reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will be a full-time, non-exempt role present in our Towson, MD offices Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for services rendered.
  • Preparing, printing, and mailing invoices to customers, as needed.
  • Perform collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast paced, goal-oriented department.
  • Manage and distribute e-mails from the AR mailbox.
  • Contact customers to obtain, verify, and update account information.
  • Provide regular updates to the AR Manager on collections efforts.
  • Performs other related duties, as needed.
What You’ll Need
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience, or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite; Excel experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to connect and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement processes and develop goals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, diverse, and changing environment.
  • Desire to learn about the industry and support the goals of the organization.
